I know the feeling. I just got a minor promotion with a minor pay rise, timed perfectly to hit just before my long overdue pay review meaning they didn’t need to add that on top of my new wage. Turns out the rising minimum wage was getting close to hitting my old rate of pay. I hadn’t thought to compare until then.
