Still not convinced by legacy games. If you have to destroy stuff to play it then you limit the replay value and that lowers the retail value of a game. The cost of a legacy board game should never exceed the cost of console game. Playing through a second time seldom happens as you know the story… and as you’ve destroyed/altered components there’s no resale value to the game… no one wants to buy a game that’s already soiled… so legacy games would have to retail at £35-40 and board games tend to cost a lot more because of the… Read more »
Pandemic Legacy ending up as top on BGG for a while would say most folks disagree on Legacy games heh.
Opinion polls are by default biased.
If something is liked, people vote for it. If they dislike it, they usually don’t bother commenting.
But each to their own. Legacy games are not for me.
Another way to look at it is that for $100 I got about 15 games of pandemic legacy in — so less than $7 an hour for great entertainment. That’s fantastic value even if I throw it away afterwards!
Sounds fun. A mix of mechanics from Gloomhaven and Kingdom Death in some regards. Enough original content in their too it seems – looking forward to seeing how the campaign aspect plays out.
Will be a tough sell on me backing this with Gloomhaven in my collection but certainly looks good!

I’m confused as to why they choose to name their game the same as a well known miniatures company? Oathsworn has been around for a while now.
Also ‘into the Deepwood’ makes me think of ‘Rangers of Shadow Deep.’

Oathsworn is a board game for 2-4 players. A player takes on the role of one of four heroes in the World of Eterra, in either a single or multiplayer match.
