Have you read the short stories of Conquest: The First Word in the Last Argument?
I have not read any of the short stories of Conquest. I’ll have to check the stories.
I love watching the Para Bellum team be interviewed. There is so much passion and enjoyment in their work, especially during what must be a very busy launch schedule. I always feel they aren’t just doing a hard sell rather that they are enjoying sharing a new world with the gaming community. I will be making a start on the stories as soon as possible. The interweaving of the races, alliances and the consequences of past decisions or events as a foundation for the future conflict really appeals to me. Great work by Para Bellum.
the back stories can put the flesh into a good game to make it great one.
Highly recommend the short stories mentioned above. I went over to the Conquest site this evening and read the first three short stories. The stories range from 12 pages to 30 and pack a nice punch. Nepenthe’s 3 part short story is awesome. I liked Nords’ one too. Great intro into the world of Ea. I hope that one day there will be a novel set in Conquest’s universe.
Fascinating interview – thanks!
If I was keener on the scale of the miniatures I’d definitely have jumped into this one. The setting is interesting and the artwork amazing.
