Justin sits down with John from Battlefront for a closer look at their Colours of War book.
Colours of War is the essential guide for painting your Flames of War miniatures. Not only do you get some useful painting tips, it also allows you to get the accurate uniforms and colour schemes for your historical armies.
Seems integral for anyone dipping their toes into historicals for the first time. Nice how it now covers the spectrum of both FoW and the team Yankee systems.
I wonder how contrast paints will fit into WW2 wargaming painting. If you just want to get your starter battle-ready (and 1:100 scale doesn’t have much details) contrast paints could be a great way to get painted models to the table.

Where to cut (first) is something manufacturers should think about putting in their instructions for really delicate stuff
im thinking that book would grace any bookshelf lots of content easy to follow and laid out well from first impressions

Excellent book, having a good reference for painting historical models is brilliant.
What a really good resource to have sat on the shelf for when you want to start a new force and want a good idea for a paint scheme and more importantly a shopping list for what paints to buy (if you don’t already have them).
Definitely going to pick this up.

Colours of War has to be the best book out of the three.
