"Your task will not be an easy one. Your enemy is well trained, well equipped and battle-hardened. He will fight savagely…..I have full confidence in your courage, devotion to duty and skill in battle. We will accept nothing less than full Victory! Good Luck! And let us all beseech the blessing of Almighty God upon this great and noble undertaking." - General Dwight Eisenhower

D-Day was the largest seaborne invasion ever undertaken and signalled the beginning of the liberation of German-occupied France from Nazi control. The strategic complexities and personal sacrifice of such an immense battle continues to resonate throughout history and, 75 years later, the wider public continues to pay tribute to the brave men and women who fought on the French shore.

Now, Lost Batallion Games are creating a deck of playing cards which depict key events from the allied invasion of Normandy. The illustrated deck of 54 cards will contain a series of important moments which shaped the allied victory at D-Day, alongside the heavy casualties and confusion which makes the landing at Normandy a battle which remains both tragic and triumphant.

Lost Batallion Games have also included an option to customize a card (either in your own shipment or in all produced decks) in memorandum of a loved one who fought in Normandy. Simply provide a photo and a few lines about the soldier, and they will be illustrated and added to the deck.

The D-Day Playing Card Deck is a nice tribute to the memory of those who fought and gave their lives to free France from Nazi occupation. You can check it out in full detail here.
