great overview of the difference in the new editions, haven’t played catan for ages but I like the sound of starfarers
Actually, just played a game of Catan The Quick Card Game an hour ago. Trying to decide whether to buy Rise of the Incas or just the standard classic version of the board game. By the way, Kelly and her colleague were very good guests, explaining the various Details of each game in a calm and relaxed way. Thank you for the overview,

Like the sound of starfarers
I’ve only played the original version. I love it and will be picking up an expansion of some sort soon. I tend to play the original with only two players so expansions have always been a little rough. Most require 3 or 4 players. I’ve wanted to pick up seafarers and should just pull the trigger already.
Fantastic additions to an already impressive line of games.
I own Catan but never played it, probably a crime I know so I must get this down on the table.
I’ve played it but never wanted to own it, on the other hand!
My wife enjoys it but it didn’t do it for me. First few plays were with a friend and his (now ex-)wife who was very cut-throat and always twisted the game as much as possible so she could win. Didn’t enjoy any game as a result!
The other times I played it, it was with my wife & in-laws abroad, and trading cards in another language which I’m not particularly skilled in is rather hard word 😉
Starfarers of Catan is my favorite!
Surely the original is the best.
