About the Project

With most of the club playing Adeptus Titanicus I have been persuaded to start playing. So Thought I would try to chart my adventures in collecting painting and playing.

Rules and paints have now arrived. I have done several test and experiments with the paints. That may find their way into another project.

for the guns I have done a overall shading followed by a darker edge shade using the new contrast paints.

That’s the warlord titans base colours done. Now it’s time to work out the next parts.

1st I will be waiting for the basic rules set to arrive, so I can look at the information on the Legio Astorum in there.

I will also now be waiting on my full set of contrast paints, so I can experiment with them.

Back from Games Expo and time to get the Reaver done.

Although now I have seen @Warzan experiments with contrast paints I am wondering if they would work better for quick toning all the Titan’s.

I will now be getting some to try 🙂

This one definitely needs to be painted before putting the armour plates on.

For the magnets on the Reaver I followed a youtube video on the best way to get  multi use weapons.

Once they were assembled I then started work on doing all the block colours and magnets for the weapons.

I am going to what until i have the rule book/background book before putting transfers on and toning them with strong tone dip.

I started with a black under coat followed with a light silver spray to give it a old metal look.

After checking what the other club members are playing, I decided to go with a Loyalist legion as there is a lot of Traitor players 😀

With that in mind I then looked at what Legion were around and decided on Legio Astorum due to liking there colours and because there are transfer sheets for them.

With that choice out of the way I got on with building the 4 titans over 2 day.

The armour plates and weapons were left off to make it easier to paint and I also plan to use magnets on the weapons.

With the plan to be playing at the Hammer n Ales club. I started with the Titan Battlegroup. At this moment i still need to think about which rule set to get but that will need to what until after UK games expo, or will be made there! 😉

At the moment I am thinking of just getting the rule set on it own. while the grand master set is nice it is unlikely that I will need the building.
