Rogue Trader had a completely different feel than it is now, the Imperium wasn’t the xenophobic place it is now. Space Marines even had personalities. There was a lot more left to the imagination and so many gaps you could do things in. They just decided one day to wipe the Squats out because they couldn’t think of anything to do with the race that wasn’t bearded biker, even though the Epic Squats were amazing with their land trains and stuff.
