Kings of War Empire of Dust Army Build
Bones, bones and more bones, now have a colour method.
So having finished some other bits today I went and pulled back out my KoW stuff. Spent a little while this evening trialling a couple of processes of applying the bone colour and settled on a method I like the final look of.
So from a black spray followed by a zenith highlight with white using GW rattle cans I then set about working out what process to use for the bone. I have settled on this.
Paint all the dark recesses between the bones Mournfang Brown (GW), this can be quite slapdash quick and doesn’t need to be too neat.
Wash the whole model in Nuln Oil (GW).
Paint the lengths of the bones using Ushabti Bone (GW) leaving the joints dark.
Wash the bone areas with Agrax Earthshade (GW) being careful to remove any excess from the lengths but making sure it reaches the deepest points.
That’s it. I really like the effect it has given me and will now endeavour to start a production line through all the skeleton minis, which is probably gonna take a while hehe.
Have a good weekend everyone.
Lookin good
Cheers @torros really enjoying my hobby at the moment. Hope your well too buddy.
I’m ok. Sadly I worked out today I need about 10 more stands for my 6mm Parthian army. I thought I had enough
That’s never nice and something I often do myself 🙂
Very effective bone.
Thank you Robert:)
