@mage that sounds like the momentum/doom mechanism that is in Conan RPG (and any other 2D20 rpg from Modiphius).
I think Deadlands had something similar. Visual representations of the extra ‘luck’ one can earn is a really useful tool to encourage roleplay.

oh … let’s not forget the fortune coins in ‘Blood&Plunder’.

@crazyredcoat : wiki said that diamond is a 2005 addition.

I guess it’s because the red cross and half moon crescent (associated with Islamic countries) can be interpreted as religious markings so this meant as a non-religious alternative ?
I wonder if it has been used at all.
