Across The Dead Earth Hear Tales Of The Sisters Of Acquisition
March 24, 2014 by brennon
Across the Dead Earth has entered it's final week on Kickstarter and with that comes a new stretch goal. The next target is £9500 and this will unlock the Sisters of Acquisition...
The Sisters were bought together by 'Bloody' Mary who took a brothel and it's women and turned towards a different cause. Now these women are soldiers of fortune working as privateers, bounty hunters and criminals for her to scrape out a better life, much like everyone else in the post-apocalyptic world.
As well as the Sisters the chaps behind the game have added this Bar to their add-on selection. This would be the perfect base of operations for your gang and just a hell of a lot of fun to fight over to be honest!
Do you think you'll be helping them hit that next target?

I’ve already pledged for the Loyalist level (£50) and the bar. 17 metal minis, a rulebook and a terrain piece for £65. I can live with that 🙂
I’ve got a season pass and I’m sure it will be worth it! A lot of quality in this project.
We must have different takes on what quality means. The figures shown so far have been shite.
Although I will say. The concept art is outstanding.
Not much point in me arguing with something which is a matter of opinion, and of course there will be an assumption that I would be biased (although that assumption would be illogical, as if I hadn’t known the miniatures were top quality, obviously I wouldn’t have paid for them to be made: I didn’t sculpt them, I hired a sculptor, after all) and defensive (which would be entirely correct as I am writing this now), but:
REALLY?
I mean…WHAT? Do you mean you don’t like the style? Because the quality is just…well, it’s just plain there to see.

Sorry, that was rude. As I said, I was being defensive, and of course it’s entirely your opinion what you think of the miniatures. Each to their own. I like ’em!
Don’t worry about it @deadeartrich you are fully entitled to defend your work and opinion!
I think the minis are great and full of character, I particularly like Reggie!
Although my other half asked if I had anything to do with the look of Fatboy 😉 – a stern look was quickly delivered!
No need to apologise about being defensive. What I typed could be interpreted as rude too. You like them I don’t. There’s no chance that everyone will like everything. Not everyone likes the same things. My first impression upon seing them was. ‘They’re a bit shite.’ I meant no offense saying that even though I realise it’s easy to interpret that way. To me they just didn’t look very good. They do look tonnes better in the pictures you posted above than they do in the pictures on the Kickstarter page however. ( It might be worth posting those on… Read more »
Cheers Tasker. You’re right, of course, not everything is for everyone, I for one have pet hate of dwarves with beards which are too sharp and triangular…so these things are clearly personal. And characterful models probably more so than, say, a historical piece (which have their own ways of dividing people over historical accuracy and the like!) The paint jobs are even more a personal taste – I mean, we all paint, and the only reason the sculpt shots are not up on the KS page is that the page was getting a bit crowded in terms of pictures, and… Read more »
