That’s a nice van … it’d be a shame if it got misplaced 😉

Here’s a little hint :
I was expecting a lump of plastic, but the batmobile is a collectible toy.
They even made the tires out of a rubber like material.
It is overkill as a gaming piece, but that’s my only complaint.
I kind of wished I had ordered a second batmobile as a painting project, because it looks like this could be an awesome display piece with just a bit of weathering and detailing.
I’m looking forward to their season 2 kickstarter next month.
@woldenspoons : Dark souls does capture the grinding aspect of the game. And the models do look good.
The one thing it doesn’t capture is the fighting itself, because rolling a few dice can’t compare to fighting monsters in the game.
I think that it kind of shows the limitations of boardgame conversions.
Anything turnbased or strategic can translate without too many problems, provided you find a way to simplify/streamline the bookkeeping involved.
Combat (in videogames) is too intense & dynamic which rarely translates into a boardgame mechanic that feels like a skill to master.
As a result it’s usually a matter of rolling dice and hoping it works, instead of a strategic/tactical choice.
I kind of hope that the Streetfighter kickstarter is going to prove that it can be done.
