Watch Kensei’s Fenix Take Flight from the Sculpting Table
March 24, 2014 by dracs
This month Zenit Miniatures have been working on the next monstrous beast to be taking flight in the Asiatic fantasy game of Kensei. Watch as the feathered Fenix Suzako takes shape.
I assume this Fenix is based upon the famous mythological phoenix. If such is the case then Zenit have done a good job in giving this feathered beast their own unique style. The detail on the forequarters means we can probably expect the final model to be quite an imposing miniature.
Will you be keeping an eye on the skies of Kensai for this one?

The legs and backend look to thin if they were thicker would improve it vastly.
Looks more like a Griffin or hippogriff to me?
I think those back legs are actually tail feathers. I’ve seen a few artworks of an ‘Asian Phoenix’ on the Interwebs and their tail feathers look just like that. Kind of similar to those of a male peacock.
It looks like a flying chocobo.
That will be a great centre piece if painted well.
