Slithering Snakemen & Quirky Cortikis Come To Frostgrave
April 29, 2019 by brennon
North Star Military Figures has added a couple of new miniature packs into the mix for Frostgrave: Ghost Archipelago over the last few days. The first creature we're going to have a peek at is the Hemata.
The Hemata is another of their monstrous snake folk which has joined the fight against invaders to these ancient realms. I love the look of this, slithering forward on its muscular body with a well-used spear at the ready. You could imagine this being a terrifying boss to face!
As bodyguard and guardians of sacred places, you will no doubt run into one of these sooner or later. I am getting serious Conan vibes from this too!
Quirky Sprites
As well as the Hemata we also have the Cortikis set which gives you a little woodland fellow and his smokey companion.
The inventive nature of the Frostgrave range is what makes it so appealing as a game. Instead of just facing off against the same enemies over and over again you'll instead find yourself running into all kinds of exotic encounters making it feel less like a wargame and more like a role-playing experience.
This is why skirmish games rule!

Those look nice.
Those cortikis are going on the shopping list.
Still on the fence regarding the snakemen (the neck/body ratio) but the Hemata looks amazing! Loving the quality of Northstar miniatures.
Love the snake guy.
