Well, I usually have not an issue finding groups or players, but the Places was to my knowledge more a thing for events and stores.

Not so much a thing to find players for certain game systems areas. Not everybody likes playing in stores (I personally don’t and most of my friends don’t either) which is not to say stores are bad nor are clubs or events (I like events and I founded and ran clubs) it’s just not for everyone .
