Vampire: The Masquerade Heritage Shapes History On Kickstarter
April 24, 2019 by dracs
Heritage, the new legacy board game set in the alternate history of Vampire: The Masquerade, is entering its last days on Kickstarter.
Where most games of Vampire: The Masquerade focus on the underdog, on playing as vampires still new to their hierarchical world, Heritage lets you take on the role of one of the ancient monsters manipulating human history from the shadows.
What has me most interested in this game is that it is a Legacy game. You are able to play through a campaign spanning seven hundred years of history, should you choose, upgrading your favourites with sticker abilities to leave you with a game shaped by your actions.
The funding campaign also features some cool Kickstarter exclusive add-ons, including a mission set apparently based upon Matthew Dawkins' Gentleman Gamer.
This is a game I have been eagerly waiting for. Vampire: The Masquerade has built an extremely rich history, stretching back to beyond the dark ages. However, unless you play a very specifically tailored campaign, there wasn't really a way to fully dive into it all in a standard chronicle. A Legacy campaign, stretching over several centuries, is the perfect way to capture the feeling of an immortal puppet master.
Is this a game you plan to sink your teeth into?

Can’t say this appeals to me and RPGs going over to cardgames does not seem like an idea that will work, but thats just me.
How many Vampire realities/timelines have their been now? Is it only just the two?
