Great stuff guys, Justin those Necron terrain ideas look very nice, I’ll be looking forward to seeing how they print up 😀
I paused the vid at 2:02 as my son called for summat… the fear in John’s eyes was amazing!
brilliant stuff guys.
If you are pulling and printing models from Thingiverse.com, you should give attribution to the model in the comments as is commonly done to give the author more views.
All hail lord pantaloni
His blessings upon you.
John, I’m pretty sure that if you tried hard enough that building would fit in the pot and it will probably make the quickshade think differently.
Like this format of vlog with multiple updates! +1
Printing the obelisk with the potential undercut issue might just cut it into quarters, placing it horizontal(making it a “floor” along the print plate, and then make your scaffold on the inside of the structure. It leaves the outside face free and unscathed for your texturing finery and the support hidden.You can engineer 90 degree angles for the wall braces in the printer to ensure right angles. The roof you can probably slice off at some point under that crumbled edge and then build as normal with general infill so that the outward face is the same as the sculpt.
Careful with the hugs @dracs – be a shame if everyone’s sixth favourite halfling got crushed. ?
What was the film you said the artwork reminded you of? Didn’t catch what you said. ^^;
Will you go with green LEDs Justin, or will your ‘crons have a different glow colour?
