It appears that Prodos were simply unable to renew the licence as things were in the air at Fox regarding granting licences/renewals during the Disney buy. It’s also rumoured that some at Fox were keen in trying to separate the Alien and Predator IPs.

Gale Force 9 are supposed to be releasing an Aliens board game later this year, which should be unaffected as they would already have the contract in place.

If anyone really wants to pick up these miniatures I’d advise doing so now, stockists other than Prodos are running out fast and I’ve noticed that some ebayers have already started jacking prices.
