Pick Up Frenzied Helbrutes & Join The Crimson Slaughter
March 10, 2014 by brennon
As some of you have no doubt already noticed the Helbrute, Chaos Space Marine Attack Force and Crimson Slaughter Codex all became available over the weekend. You can check out a whole bunch of these rather neat looking releases for the traitor legions below from Games Workshop...
First up we have the Helbrute itself which I think is bloody awesome looking. I have loved a lot of the Chaos Space Marine models since their relaunch and this is carrying on nicely. I love the blend of the demonic and the machine-based and it comes with so many options it's nice to see how individual you can make them. I genuinely think I will be taking three of them.
If you want to get started in the world of Warhammer 40,000 with the traitors in power armour then they have also put together an Attack Force that while expensive probably does actually save you money in the buying. While it's missing two bulky troop choices in favour of one squad it does get you going. It also comes with a HQ unit which is good!
If you liked the background put forth in the Dark Vengeance boxed set the the Crimson Slaughter book might be what you've been waiting for in terms of supplements.
- The gore-splattered history of the Crimson Slaughter - a tragic tale of how a loyal Chapter was transformed into Warp-cursed, bloodthirsty renegades.
- Supplemental rules for building an unstoppable army of the merciless Crimson Slaughter.
- A showcase of Crimson Slaughter miniatures.
- A series of narrative missions that enable you to recreate some of the Crimson Slaughters bloody battles.
- Rules for unique relics, Warlord Traits and new stratagems that reflect the Crimson Slaughter's favoured tactics.
Sound like a tome you want to pick up? We also have some interesting news on the Imperial Guard HERE on the forums.
Did you order any of these Chaos Space Marine miniatures?

If only it was for the traitor LEGIONS and not chaos renegades.
I think GW have out done themselves with the Helbrute!
I dislike the removal of the “around £50” battalions (which went up in price) as they were a great way for people who aren’t loaded to get into the game, but that army box above does have significant savings.
I love the new Hellbrute model and having all the options in the kit is really nice. That Power Scourge bit alone almost make the kit worth it for conversions. I just wish it was better in game. Tho thats not going to stop me from picking up the kit as i’m still holding out hope that when/if they Release Legion or God specific supplemental codexes that they will be able to take marks, be able to take a Reaper Auto Cannon on each arm or have some other special rule to help out. If the rumored Chosen and Havocs… Read more »
I like the hellbrute, but i must say I’m still more a fan of the second edition chaos dreadnought.
Wow you must have bad eyesight if thats the case.
