Gaze in Wonder at Kabuki’s Painted Evil Queen

We all love to see a well painted mini, and they don't often come as well painted as the final box art display versions Kabuki show off. Here she is, the Evil Queen in all her fully painted glory.
The shading of the folds of her cloak are superb and I particularly like the patina the painter has achieved on the mirror frame.
The mirror itself is a big surprise as I had assumed the reflective sticker surface would make it look rather tacky, but t really seems to have achieved the effect they were going for. Still would have preferred a face floating in it like in Disney's Snow White. That thing was creepy.
What would you have done differently when painting this mini?
Very nice indeed.
I wish I could paint like that.
It looks like her legs are way out of proportion to the rest of her body.
Yeah, and the legs themselves aren’t just too big- the upper leg is far too long compared to the lower leg…. Her knees appear to be located about half way up her shins!
That said, the paint job is beautiful and as Sam said the mirror works surprising well.
Lovely model, and beautifully painted, but the leg proportion is all wrong, which kinda draws you’re eye in, instead of to the whole model
I think the leg proportion problem might be more of a perspective problem caused by the way her… swimming costume / corset thing rides up above her hips. When you take that into account I don’t think it’s too bad
Fair point about the outfit making it look worse than it is, but I still think her knees are far too low down her legs.
