@seldon9 Infinity’s audience is used to all metal and associated level of detail … so of course anything less than that will get comments from their fanbase.
CMON and GW are probably the only companies currently producing plastics that can be considered as close to metal as can be done using current tech. Mythic are good, but a definite step below those. And then there’s Mantic (walking dead). Steamforged are a bit of an oddity as I do think their Dark Souls range is a bit better than their Guildball minis.
At least that is my opinion based on the boardgames minis I’ve seen so far. I haven’t seen the Aresteia minis though.
I suspect that it is also pretty difficult to switch to plastic for a company like Corvus Belli.

Pride is a dangerous emotion in business though.
I hope their decision to do metal is based on their (current) experience doing plastic and available options.
I suspect that if the terrain for this dungeon crawler is good and 3D-ish then it might be useful as terrain to be used in their Infinity skirmish games. The confined space of a building/spaceship do offer a different set of challenges compared to the ‘normal’ open areas skirmish games traditionally use.
