I’ve just late pledged for Reichbusters and I’m looking towards its arrival.  I know I’ll want to paint everything before it hits the table.  I know if I start playing right away I could have completed the campaign before I’ve finished painting half the minis, which would be disheartening.  I’m thinking ahead and looking to plan some efficient painting for the minis.  I want to work out what models want similar schemes so I can paint them together, or at least lay down base colour with my airbrush together.

For example, I suspect that about 1/3rd of the grunts will be mostly wearing German black cloth, and about 1/3rd will be wearing German uniform green.  I’m thinking I can pull out all the black minis and airbrush VMC German Grey on to them, gently drybrush Ivory over this, and then wash with GW Nuln Oil, and have something ready to go, even if it still wants a lot of work.  The core colours would be done over a lot of models with minimal time and effort.

I am currently painting my way through Mythic Battles: Pantheon and I can see that Mythic don’t like to release images of all their stuff fully painted, or even large images of artwork for all their models.  I’m someone that likes to follow stock paint schemes, or at least have access to full 3D rotational shots of painted models so that I can tell what every part of a model is (Is that a limb?  A weapon?  Cloth?  A doohickey?  Or is it flash?  What colour should I paint it, or should I snip it off?  We’ve all been there).

I thought I’d set up this project so we can work together to locate all the images for every model out there and gather them together for easy reference once our big boxes arrive.  We can work together to decide if that coat is cloth or leather, if its black, or just very dark green.  We can come up with paint schemes and see if anyone has any idea how less experienced painters can paint that mutated flesh to a satisfying standard as I’ve no idea how I’m going to do it just yet.

I am going to create a separate entry for every model.  As you find helpful pics of it please post a link in the chat for that entry.  I’ll see about uploading them to the gallery for that post.  We can also discuss colours and paints and I’ll update the entries with your suggestions as appropriate.

So I’ve just finished scouring the kickstarter for pictures, sorted them and uploaded them and there’s a lot less than I thought.  If you do find anything new please link it in the relevant post and I’ll see about uploading it.  If anyone from Mythic sees this project, please can you see about getting us more pics of painted models and from multiple angles.  Thank you.  Painting guides are always appreciated too.

I’m just storing some links here for painting guides etc so I can sort through them later and create my own paint recipe lists etc
