If a game has greenskins, they’re my favourite faction (especially a game with a low model count :)). They’re first in the painting queue for Deadzone!
MMmmm… Marauders, send in the Rippers
I went for a kind of WW2 German look when I painted my own Marauders- but now I really wish I’d gone for a Napoleonic style! Orx in red and white uniforms, shakos and maybe an elite team in rifle-green led by the Orx equivalent of Sharpe… Could even convert up a wee Goblin version of Hagman!

Great video. I like the Orx. They are crafty and great fighters, not mindless hordes of cannon fodder. I hope to do mine as an elite unit, in some appropriate camouflage scheme once I have decided what theme to go for. Oh yes – I like them to be dark red/brown skinned like the Uruk-hai in Lord of the Rings, with the tattoos from the Kings of War ogres or trolls (never sure which lot but if you see the photos you will understand). I bought all four factions, but you guys got me really excited to get these Orx painted. The Plague first though.

i have to say the marauder background is my favourite as they buck the trend of general orx (ork, orc etc.) background in being intelligent and equals with the smaller guys and i was tempted to grab a set but i prefered the enforcer ascetic… and we got a few of the halftrack mortars from the guys who grabbed them on the kickstarter those things are a pain to fight! still moving into a way to combat it other than hide under things
The Marauders are an incredible faction, all the background seems amazing, but, after hearing all faction breakdown I’m in love with Rebs. Firefly is my favorite TV show and as the Rebs got brown coats mixed with the amazing background and the mix of races and histories that those races bring with them I think that no other faction can to the trick and bring game in the gaps like Rebs, I’m still thinking on what to do with my army, but will be an Rebs army!
Marauder General idea … perhaps he wears a spit-shined green army helmet with three stars across it, and wears ivory-handled revolvers on the hips of his brown riding pants? Patton is a general that’s just been put on waaaay too high of a historical pedestal and I would loive to see him taken down a peg or two by being “Orx-ified.” 🙂
