Rule The Milky Way In The Silver River On Kickstarter

Many people believe we are not alone in this world. In fact, even within our own galaxy of the Milky Way, many people theorize that many different lifeforms exist. Now, Robert Burke Games brings these galactic forces together on the tabletop in The Siver River!

The Silver River is a compact game in the 4X genre of strategic gaming (explore, expand, exploit, and exterminate). The game aims to provide all the strategic options for development and advancement as larger 4X games while maintaining a relatively short gameplay time (approx. 2 hours). Build your empire, develop new regions, gain resources and destroy your opponents in this asymmetric sci-fi game!

Choose from six different races, all of which have been theorized to actually exist within the Milky Way. Each race has its own unique set of strengths, weaknesses, and abilities which will shape gameplay and provide new and exciting routes for victory. There is also the option to purchase a fifth player expansion, allowing more players to fight for control of the galaxy!

The Silver River is a bit pricey ($69 before shipping), but the game actually provides a lot of components for that price, plus the appeal of a 4X game that you don't have to block out an entire day in your schedule to complete (although sometimes that's the fun of them!).

There's also a print-and-play available for a much more affordable $12, so it does allow accessibility for those who have already blown their gaming budget for the month!
