Jeez – I thought PWork were Italian – it’s usually the Americans that go about dying beer (and everything else) green. LOL
Anyway, nice to have a discount. In the market for some grassy fields at the moment…
Well, Saint Patrick was a Roman!
St Patrick or Pádraig was Welsh I thought
If he was born before 410 when the last legions left Britain then it’s a possibility he was Roman I suppose
Well, his parents would have been Roman Citizens, but he was born somewhere in Roman Britain, whether that be Scotland or Wales is up for debate. He would have considered himself a Roman.
He wassa roamin’ a tha somewher’ no?
Just not sure where (usually Americans) the idea of stoating about dying everything green came from. Never seen an Irishman do that. If we saw someone cutting aboot in a “See you Jimmy” hat and comedy kilts and dying rivers tartan for St Andrews day, we’d laugh at them, then ostracise them, if not just stick the heid on.
As I was scrolling past quickly to see the chat, I thought that was Az in the PWorks pic
it is!
Well I will be at my kids birthday party as he will be turning 4… bet you cant guess what my N.Irish wife and I called him…
was it Teddie Westside?
George David Andrew Nogbadthebad?
?
I don’t get this reference, where’s it from?
England Wales Scotland, but no Ireland. (And nogbadthebad because that’s your username so using that as a surname).
blimey i was having a slow day yesterday!!!
There are some who will call him Tim
Does he enchant things?
All good answers, and am sure you’ll all be shocked to learn you’re all wrong!
Ian? George? Conan?
Patrick says not, but am sure hes just confused!
Northern Irish must be the clue – but a loaded one – could be William or Patrick depending on circumstances…
Guinness for the Guinness gods.
there must be scenarios in old wargames magazines about the capture of the young [St] Patrick from his family villa in Roman Britain (c.400 AD).
The Irish warband might have had warhounds 🙂
…and they were probably ancient N. Irish from Antrim! 😮
(not those Warhounds – no epic 40k crossover)
