Shadow & Flame Sculpt Up Bespoke Helm Hammerhand!
March 15, 2019 by brennon
Shadow & Flame have sculpted up a version of Helm Hammerhand, the legendary figure from Rohirrim history within the world of Middle-earth.
This mighty warrior is the man whose name was taken for the well-known Helm's Deep. He was said to be so mighty that he could smite foes with his fists. The miniature here is looking awesome, especially since it seems to take a little of the look from the statue seen in the film but with a unique tweak here and there.
Whilst this miniature won't ever see the light of day as a proper figure for use on the tabletop it's great to see Shadow & Flame working to create new characters for them to use in the games, inspired by the world of Middle-earth. You can see how he compares to one of the Forge World miniatures below.
Shadow & Flame do lots of custom sculpting and if you wanted a particular character brought to life I'm sure they would oblige you.
What characters from the wider lore of Middle-earth would you like to see someone like Shadow & Flame or Forge World work on in the future?

That is looking really good.
Nice, He looks big for a dwarf.
I am hoping that you thinking Helm is a Dwarf is a joke. He was human.
Everyone knows that Helm Hammerhand was the last King of Rohan from the First Line. Died in the siege of Helms Deep after the Dunlandings over an much of Rohan. Succeeded by his nephew, who was the first king of the second line. Théoden was the last king of this second line.
We’d never see it from Forge World, but it’d be nice to see heroes and villains of the First Age in mini form, especially if it was based on the artwork of Jenny Dolfen (https://goldseven.wordpress.com).
