Damn bait and switch with work. I got transferred to a new site and it sounds fine well and wonderful actually getting near to regular people hours/weekends (what are those again?). Found out “Oh yeah, we’re going to 12s next week. We’re short on people”. FML, the painting might take longer than anticipated with the prep for moving.
@evilstu glad to see that the music is hitting all fronts then. Good to see that the troops are coming along as they have. I think that I’ll probably skip on the large scale battle forces unless I’m reeeeaally involved with a system or want to build/paint/sell.
@evilstu and @mage dieselpunk is good stuff. Look at Sky Captain and the World of Tomorrow as well as The Rocketeer are good examples that you’ll see the aesthetic in. You’d be playing it with Crimson Skies and Bioshock. The mechanical and clean lines of Art Deco are there without the “romantic” flair of what might be organic in Art Noveau.
Reading on the wiki for it the grimy/gritty aspect to it is about right when compared to atompunk/decopunk.
@sundancer Dewbacks on a Hoth board or tauntons on Tatooine… yep broken narrative. Forget the whole clear base debate.
@rayzryr Great job putting together the music from the videogames. MDK was not a game I played but I had been interested at the time. The video you found really put me into a “WTF?” headspace, as French visual media tends to, and made me wonder if that young lady might twist her neck to the point of injury.
