Come and join us for another delve into the Forums and Projects to find the best of the best from the last week or so. We're going to be getting stuck into lots of great looking pieces this week...

...make sure to always let us know what YOU have been working on and share it across the site.

Corvus Corax by irishsteve

We're leading the way this week with some work by irishsteve on this rather awesome Primarch model from Forge World. Here is his work on Corvus Corax.

The deep black armour of the Raven Guard has been captured really well I think with enough of a subtle touch of grey and metallics in there to make it stand out. There's still a bit of work to go into this particular piece but so far even as a WiP model, this is looking fantastic fun.

I particularly liked that a lot of work went into the Son Of Horus on the base which could well have been quite the afterthought for a lot of people. You can start to see a lot more of the detail for the figure of Corvus on the back of the miniature too as well as that gleaming jump pack which carries him into the heart of the action.

This is also quite the testament to the power of magnets so that he can be transported around and used as a gaming piece too.

Richard The Lionheart Characters by joshtogo

Next up we're looking to some characters that really caught my eye this week. Here we have the characters/playing pieces from Richard The Lionheart, a board game by CMON. These characters were painted up by joshtogo.

Richard The Lionheart #1 by joshtogo

I thought these were brilliant and a wonderful way to add a bit more colour to this board game. Richard The Lionheart is a great game and it's nice to see someone going to the extra effort of painting up the miniatures to bring the game to life. The deep reds work really well against the white tunics of these Crusaders and then you see the warmth of the greens on Robin Hood and his companions.

The small number of miniatures within a game, with such a variety of different styles, means that you really get to stretch your painting skills and also produce a finished product very quickly. I especially liked the work here on Little John and Robin Hood himself. I won't lie, I immediately wanted to use him in Rangers Of Shadow Deep.

Richard The Lionheart #3 by joshtogo

The quality of the finished miniatures here is fantastic and I love that even the basing has been tweaked to fit the different characters. Hopefully, joshtogo continues to show off more work over on our projects system, perhaps with a few step-by-step examples of how similar miniatures can be brought to life.

Dragyri by gumbafish

Finally, we're looking at something different from CMON and that is the work on this awesome Dragyri miniature from Dark Age.

Dragyri #1 by gumbafish

The well-blended textures for the skin, bringing a depth and warmth to the model alongside the amazing weathering on the armour really hit the spot for us. I particularly liked the blue hue given to the spear too, making it a focal point for the miniature.

Dragyri #2 by gumbafish

You get a sense of the musculature in the miniature as well which I always go on about but I think is very much needed, especially on a model which such huge expanses of open 'skin'. I think you need to do something which builds on the physicality of a warrior, especially if they are as martially focused as this one is.
