New Perry World War II US Infantry Coming To Salute
March 11, 2019 by brennon
Perry Miniatures has been showing off the miniatures for their new US Infantry Set. These new soldiers would be good for those looking to battle in Operation Torch, Tunisia, Sicily, the landings in Italy and Normandy and through to the end of the war for some too.
The set will come with all manner of different options (as you might have guessed from a Perry Miniatures kit) and allow you to make forty-two figures. Yes...forty-two!.
The traditional Garands and BARs have been included within the set but you'll also find additional weapons like the M1 Carbine, Thompson, Springfield (with grenade launcher and scope), Grease Guns, and even an M1A1 Bazooka.
This could more or less act as your one-stop-shop for someone looking to start an American army in games like Bolt Action and Chain Of Command. With all of the figures being multi-pose and the wealth of options available to you, they could make for an incredibly characterful force where each soldier feels like an individual.
I'm still very much looking to see people playing more personal games set during World War II. Big armies are cool but small squad-based gameplay in a skirmishing style for the period could be fascinating, especially if you played it a solo or co-operative affair, tracking the journey of a single team across Europe after D-Day.
What do you think of the new plastic miniatures?

Those look really nice.
Great troop figures.
wow I only saw the greens for these in Miniature Wargames yesterday, lovely minis. I don’t think I would run an American force, but they’re giving me pause for thought.
Or an attachment to the British ….
I only use British as targets 😉
Add an attachment and it become a target rich environment 😉
The cover art reminds me of and old matchbox kit
