Brutal Bloodletters Fight For The Blades Of Khorne Soon
March 11, 2019 by brennon
Games Workshop is bringing the brutality of the battlefield to the Mortal Realms with the Blades Of Khorne Battletome next week for Age Of Sigmar.
This new book will be available to pre-order this coming weekend and updates the forces of Khorne for Age Of Sigmar. Inside you'll find new characters, troops, and additional rules as well as the way to include the mighty Khorne Judgements in your games (because Khorne doesn't like magic...nope!).
Some of these are brutally damaging, some of them strip Wizards of their power to cast spells and the coolest thing is, they can't be dispelled either by your typical spellcaster. Its as if Khorne was looking after his bloodthirsty children!
As with other recent releases for Age Of Sigmar, the Battletome will also be released alongside a piece of terrain. The Blades Of Khorne have the Skull Altar.
This will be a perfect addition to the tabletop for those using a lot of Priests in their list. The Altar will allow you to re-roll prayers and judgements as well as messing with the mojo of regular Wizards. Additionally, if you are looking to play as Khorne in Warhammer 40,000 you'll soon have rules for that too.
Brutal Warriors
Of course, some new miniatures are also popping up, each of them adding to the options for those who use a lot of Bloodletters. For one, we have the Bloodmaster. I am getting all of the DOOM vibes once more.
This fellow has some brutally murderous aura abilities which will help his daemonic allies cut down their foes with ease. I really am I big fan of the murder-chop daemons of Khorne as they are really fun and easy to paint and provide you with a force which has one simple mission...get in there and start carving up your enemy in close combat.
Skulltaker has also got an update with the release of Blades Of Khorne.
This new version of the named Bloodletter is looking majestic with his barbed sword and heavy brass armour. Of course, any of the miniatures for the Daemons of Khorne can be used away from Age Of Sigmar in Warhammer 40,000 too.
Oh, and did you notice his weapon? That is the Slayer Sword itself, offered up as the prize at Golden Demon!
I might have to break out my Khorne army and bring it back to the tabletop for some Age Of Sigmar with this release.
Will you be snapping this new book up?

So Skulltaker has won a painting comp is what you’re saying?
?
Anyone else remember Storm of Magic in 8th ed Fantasy where Khorne would occasionally lob a skull from his throne at wizards? Looks like he lobs axes now, lol.
While those two new models aren’t bad at all they are also what you would expect from Khorne demons making those just flashier looking than other Khorne demons.
Skulltaker has a 11/10 Skull density according to GW which sounds about right, wouldn’t you say?

The korn spells look good an the bloodleters look brilliant.
I am so far behind in building my Khornish horde. Gotta catch up!
So glad to add a couple of new Bloodletters to my unit.
Also can’t wait to get my paws on that Skull Altar.
