Raised by the extremist Saw Gerrera and on her own from a young age, Jyn Erso embodies both the qualities of reckless and aggressive, Erso is nonetheless a brave leader fully capable to lead your troops in Star Wars Legion. Witness Justin as he trembles before Gerry calling him out on all his Star Wars jibber jabber.
Who would you like to see as the next commander?

Great mini… especially painted 😉
show off <3
Says Mr. Zulu Prime 😉
So far I’ve resisted Legion… mainly because I spent a fortune on Imperial Assault.
I do like the minis though and may weaken at some point… when I’ve run out of things to paint… which given my backlog could be a while.
I really like her rules. Could afford some interesting play dynamics and she pairs well with the veterans also taken from Rogue One
Like this figure, the only thing is that i think this would have been a great figure to multipose, having multiple arms, etc would maybe have made this a fantastic model. I would still like a generic figure to make a leader, for some reason, i like the 2 majors’ in Solo, the one who urges Han to victory ( to get blown up right after ) and the one who ‘feeds him to the beast’. Battle hardened veterans would be great. I think even the card name should be blank so you can 1. fill it in as desired… Read more »
That’s one thing that discourages me from trying Legion out; without generic characters it feels like the named ones are on every battlefield in the galaxy – Vader can only be in one place at a time and Leia’s not going to be leading every Rebel cell in person.
if they went the other way and didn’t have the named ones it would’ve suffered the same complaint. I don’t mind them getting out the named characters early as long as they remember to do the generics. FFG are still painfully slow though
True but it would have been nice to have both from the getgo; could easily have made a generic Stormtrooper Captain/Imperial Officer and a generic Rebel Officer at the start and done more later after they’d gooten a few named characters out. In fact considering FF love of cards for everything, they could have slipped an extra card in the starter set for each side without the need for a special mini, just a little note somewhere saying to paint a regular Stormtrooper mini’s shoulderpad orange and a regular Rebel Trooper’s shirt tan instead of blue and you’d have your… Read more »
That’s always the problem with named characters in any game, isn’t it ?
If they’re (too) bad then people wonder why they were heroes to begin with.
And if they’re (too) good then you’ll see them in practically any list.
Of course to the Imperials she’ll always be an overpowered terrorist who needs to be taken down …
That was one of the good things about LotRSBG back in the day (dunno if it’s still the case) – the small name heroes only had a very small increase (usually just a single point of Might iirc) over the generic Captains so they were special, but not too special, so they didn’t overshadow the generics while could still be worth taking (and consequently they could also serve as budget versions of the big names).
That sounds like an ideal system for a balanced wargame with named heroes.
It kind of makes me wonder why GW never applied such restraint to their main lines.
Dunno, and it can’t be a case of them hoping to sell on the strength of the name of the character because iirc those ‘mid-tiers’ tended to be either more minor/obscure characters from the books or characters they’d invented themselves. I suppose it could be because the system was largely helmed by Alessio rather than the more ensemble teams of Fantasy and 40k, plus overall things were (and probably still are) more restrained than in those two so there was less room to add something extreme in without having to have a complete overhaul (eg unless they’d gotten the rights… Read more »
Did Justin actually watch the movie , or did he fall asleep ? Jyn beat the hell out of a few Storm Troopers with her batons , plus she tended to shoot guys in the knee caps …spoiler , she dies . Great looking figure ,not a fan of the scarf though , might have to change it to a green stuff one . But probably get her and the other Rogue One figures anyway
XD
I am soooooooo far behind with Legion! Jyn Erso looks like a damned solid force multiplier for troops though. Like her.
Jyn Erso is a terrorist, the Empire did nothing wrong!
Hail UBERSTANTFUHRERGROSSUNIVERSEMEISTER GERRY!
The mini is nicely sculpted, haven’t played nor seen played SW Legion so i can’t really comment on the efficacy of her as a character.
darn right, Palaptine is my Emperor!
I would say that there are lot of things in both canon and Legends that disagree with that. Things like space ships used as moving death camps for aliens by pro-human Imperials as well as taking control of resources to feed Imperial war machine while killing or enslaving countless. Yes that’s right, Empire encouraged slavery that Darth Vader hated so much. No wonder Rebels had so easy time to get both support and members when it was Empire itself that turned those people against them. Sure Empire was ruled by evil Sith but that’s no excuse to be stupid and… Read more »
you’re clearly listening to some of that rebel propaganda, the Empire was a place of safety, security and prosperity. Only through the beneficent reign of the Emperor was that costly Clone War ended, and the Banking Clan brought back into peaceful coalition.
I am just thinking things logically without any faction bias based on what I know from all sources of SW fiction no matter is it movies, cartoons, novels or comic books. I have no delusions about either Empire or Rebels. And I have my favorite Imperial as well that being Grand Admiral Thrawn who was smartest person in Imperial navy. He was also against Death Star project as unpractical and he is behind creation of best Imperial star fighter that is TIE Defender.
Be careful… you sound like Jeremy Corbyn… fondness for stormtroopers and a desire to crush a minority… or am I mistaking Jeremy for that Adolf bloke from the 1930’s and 1940’s?
Jyn has got to be mt favorite character from all the new films. I loved Rogue one, so much so all my core box minis are already painted as though they’re on Scarif. Very cool model, get sculpt on her and definitely one I’ll be adding to my collection ?
I won’t buy star wars legion.

this star wars game looks super interesting, may be my first game I try with measuring stick rules!
Best character mini for Legion so far i think. No idea about the rules as i don’t play legion. I bought into Runewars instead. Oops! 🙂
eh, Garcon … une baton pour Jyn Erso
Glad they went in to rouge one for additional heroes and troops good call FFG
yes.
One of my favorite Star Wars char. The playstyle is a good fit.
Wow, Jyn’s sculpt looks way better than Han’s.
Nice looking mini, it’s a pity Legion is a different size to Imperial Assault
I think Jyn would be my rebel leader of choice. Lovely mini.
Thats a big box for a such a tiny model
