March 5, 2019 by ludicryan
John gives an update to the immense Oil War force he's building up, looking at some airbrushing and the amazing camo patterns going on.
The reasoning behind some of the camo patterns is given with the Iraqi tanks getting an interesting and historically accurate yellow and green style. However, John brings out the prettiest of all tank camo patterns with the German Leopard tank. This brown and cream number would look great on a catwalk let alone the dang battlefield.

looks great, I was a little concerned how close you were to the Leopards while doing that airbrushing. Hope there was no overspray?
Great to see how this is progressing. I have to agree the Leopard II camo scheme is a perfect look for what your going for and it stands out without looking out of place. Well done sir!
great tip with the bluetac. i did think john was going to go full on bob ross start mentioning happy little clouds 🙂
The Soviet tanks are still the wrong colour…….

Using the blue tac is so much less intimidating than I thought it would be. Thanks for the demo.
Incredibly useful “how to” with the blue tac. It really makes a difference to the results you get from using it, cheers @johnlyons ??.
Hinds look great, what colour did you use for the blue underside?
Army Painter Toxic Mist 🙂
Love the camo tutorial. I’m gonna have to try that next time I’m working on a tank.
