@mage , ah yes Minotaurs. Lapdogs of the High Lords 😛

Looking pretty boss though dude, so nice one 🙂 And dig the use of the Insecticon scheme on your Plague Marines

@sundancer I’m with you on getting turned off  GW – for me it was 5th edition that did me in. I think the first dedicated Grey Knights Codex was the last book I brought until the announcement of 8th ed, and the whole revamp of White Dwarf back to a monthly along with them starting up the Warhammer Community program. They might want your money but at least they use Duncan & Peachy to sell it to you 😀

@horati0nosebl0wer Good call on Conan the Barbarian (that soundtrack) and @limburger for not forgetting Conan the Destroyer or Red Sonja. Between the them probably the closest to getting Frazetta on the big screen. Krull remains a fantastic romp, and it’s so bizarre seeing some of the supporting players who went on  to much bigger things (whilst Ken Marshall probably gets most remembered as Eddington on Deep Space Nine). Any of you guys seen the film version of Howard’s other barbarian warlord Kull? It’s one I keep meaning to watch but never get around to….

And yeah, Shadowspear is making me look at my MP-01 Convoy figure and thinking if I could flip it for at least the £80-odd most non-GW retailers should have it going for. They will make a perfect recon element for my re-booted Raptors, and it’s wierdly appropos that before the full reveal I’d one an auction for a FW Legion Vigilator:

….who is going to be PERFECT for Raptors Chapter Master Lias Issodon – No Invulnerable save, but has 2+ armour with an additional 2+ when in cover, so you need at least a -3 to push him out of 2+’s. He adds +1 to all Move, Charge, Fallback & Advance moves of Friendly Raptors Infantry within 6″, including himself, and he starts with a move of 7″. Oh, and he is always able to shoot if he falls back out of combat. He can put himself and up to 3 Raptors infantry (not including Terminators, Centurions or Primaris units) into Ambush, where they can appear at the end of a move phase anywhere on the table outside of 9″ of enemy units – combo that with the Vanguard’s Phobos Armour infiltration ability and you could easily have your whole army outside your deployment zone. And his custom bolter – Malice – is just the nuts: 30″ range, Assault 3, S5 AP-4 Damage D3 and ignores the bonuses for cover saves.

My old Raptors army had 2 Devastator squads, one with 4 Lascannons and the other with 4 Heavy Bolters. I sense that this could potentially lose me friends, especially if I add in combi-weapons and account for Bolter Drill….
