Happy Weekend all!

Back to the 80’s eh? I can roll with that!

Questions? Answers!

(1) How do you deal with a cold or flu?

Stay home, take medicines, sleep!

I’m fortunate, I seem to have a rather robust immune system. I don’t often get sick, or I get over it quickly. But if not that then I drop like a stone. No hobby, not interested in tv. Maybe read, but mostly sleep.

If I feel a cold or flu coming on, I’ll start in on hot whiskey, lemon and honey in water. It probably doesn’t actually help, but it makes one feel warm and it’s tasty.

(2) Can you hobby when you feel run over?

Sure, if you want to build an army with flats! Hahaha!

(3) Your opinion on the entertainment industry of the 1980s is…?

I’m not sure I have much of an opinion on it… it was what it was, of it’s time. Big money, drugs, big hair.

It produced a few gems, it churned out a load of dross.

(4) Name a tv show you liked when you were younger or a child

From my childhood in the 80’s

There’s the usual suspects:Transformers, Astroboy, Thundercats, Silverhawks, He-Man and the MOTU, Doctor Who, Monkey, MASK, COPS, Scooby-Doo, Voltron (both kinds), Danger Mouse, Duckula, Trap Door, TMNT

Some outliers (shows that I kind of liked): Gummy Bears, Machine Men, Smurfs, You Can’t do that on television,

Vague enjoyment memories: (I know I enjoyed them then, but I hardly remember them): The Mysterious Cities of Gold, Ulysses 31, Macross/ Robotech, Spider-Man and his Amazing Friends, Robostory

Ah… I could easily go on and on… dammit @mage every time I go to google I come back with another name that I remember, another show that I loved!

(5) What toys or tv shows influenced you, directly or not, a little or a lot into this broad hobby?

Hmm, I feel like my influences into this hobby came primarily from books, games and family. Not so much from toys and TV.

Some movies that helped were Labyrinth, Willow, She-Hawk. The Dungeons and Dragons cartoon wasn’t a regular fixture of my childhood viewing, though I was aware of it. My child hood toys usually came from TV shows: Ninja Turtles, Ghost Busters, Transformers.

The pledge this week will be: continuation of Dark Angels, update and make public part one of the Dark Angel project, DnD Monday night, time and motivation permitting return to the Elf Project.

More later!
