Delve In Dwarven Dungeons With The Ancient Dice Of Kaldor
January 31, 2019 by cassn
It is said the Kaldor dwarves could not imagine the extent to which their powerful artefacts would be used and abused. Perhaps they did. Perhaps they did not. Yet they forged them nonetheless. Mining their sacred Zastratite ore from the belly of the Sanguine Emberland mountains, the dwarves toiled for years crafting the means that would ensure victory over the dragon-hordes. The tides of battle were turned, but at a cost. After vanquishing his enemy, Belishon son of Belishar, the great dwarven chief buried the relics deep, never to be unearthed – until now!
Now you can own the Ancient Dice of Kaldor, available now on Kickstarter! These ornate dice are cast in a durable tin alloy (92% tin), aged via chemical solution and mechanically polished to a high sheen.
Hedrals are polyhedral dice, used by Belishar to deploy his troops during the first dragon war.
This is a set of seven recessed metal dice and includes a d4, d6, d8, d10, d12, d20, and d100.
Obilisca are artefacts created by Belishon and deeply imbued with dwarven magic which will counter dragon lord spells.
The Obilisca set includes seven dice - d4, d6, d8, d10, d12, d20, and d100.
Finally, the Cubits are six-sided dice used by Belishon in divination for the last dragon war.
Personally, I am not a fan of metal dice, however, if this is an aesthetic you enjoy, I can see the appeal of these dice, they're very good quality and well-crafted. The Cubit set is a little plain, but I like the design on the faces of the Hedrals.
If you think you are strong enough to wield the Ancient Dice of Kaldor, you can join the Kickstarter now!

The design of the Obilisca d4 is a huge improvement on the traditional one.
love the dice.
Love the weight of metal dice, but they can be dangerous to boards and minis when rolled! I tend to bring mine out when the others are failing me.
Those are some really nice looking dice sets.
