Green Ronin Taking Pre-Orders For Dragon Age: Faces Of Thedas
January 30, 2019 by brennon
Green Ronin are currently taking pre-orders for the print version of Dragon Age: Faces Of Thedas, a new tool for Game Masters to use when planning our adventures in the Dragon Age universe.
Faces Of Thedas introduces rules, statistics and more for those looking to use characters from the Dragon Age games in their campaigns. Maybe you want to meet Alistair on the road, be it as King or Grey Warden, or you fancy having fun in the tavern with Sera during the period of Dragon Age: Inquisition.
You will also find rules for adversaries like Loghain for example, giving you a deadly foe to try and outwit or fight around the tabletop.
Additionally, there are also expanded rules for relationships in Dragon Age. This includes how to develop friendships, rivalries and romances with mechanical effects as well as role-playing tips too.
If you're looking for a good sourcebook to inspire your next story in a Dragon Age RPG this might be worth a look.
Are you tempted to snap this up?

its always good on revenge quest now an again.
This seems a bit late. Especially as they now have Fantasy Age, Modern Age and Blue Rose.
Nice for them to build upon the system though this far down the line. Also, a new Dragon Age RPG is on the way for consoles/PC so that’s probably prompted them to look at it again.
I had a lot of fun with the Dragon Age RPG from Green Ronin. It was a bit janky once you got to high levels but they cleared that up with some good GM guidelines in the new complete Rulebook.
Games are broken at high levels (or high skill levels). Always a sweet spot that falls between ‘TPK’d by a goblin’ and ‘Destroying a city with one spell’. I didn’t bother with the third box set or complete rule book. Only have first two box sets and used them (briefly) with Fantasy Age rules. The best part about it was the stunts, it put some fun in the game… However… Modern Age (which I’m running now) went nuts on stunts… Too many options, so it takes time for players to choose their stunts which can slow the the game to… Read more »
Yeah weirdly I only picked up the first two boxes, then didn’t bother with the third. I had so many fun sessions with my group when they were weaklings!
Stunts were very fun and great once you got used to them and knew them off by heart. However, it was a bit tough for new players (strangely) because they’d spend a few minutes looking over the sheet and going errrr…even though it was meant for new players to sort of inspire them heh.
I’m really torn over how I feel about Green Ronin. The DARPG is a great system but their support has been so frustratingly awful over the years. Yes, they’ve had problems getting approvals but they’ve taken very little interest in building the community. This is the first book in four years and there has been very little noise from them in that gap (Faces was announced 18 months ago and meant to release before the end of 2017 then they just stopped talking about it). After the sham that was the box set releases for the first edition of the… Read more »
