My biggest Kickstarter pledge to date and way more minis than I realized. Now is the time to roll up my sleeves and get them all painted up.

Here come the Mountain's Men
I particularly like the bears on the right
Flying the flag for House CleganeThat’s the Mountain’s Men done as well. I’ve also painted the Mountain himself, but for some bizarre reason, I made his cloak green, instead of yellow. So I will need to repaint him at some point. For now, I’m putting the brush down on this project and turning to my historicals for a bit. I’ll be back on this one with the first Stark unit.
Knights of Casterly Rock completed
These knights were a lot more work than I had initially anticipated. I could swear I emptied a whole pot of red paint on them! My worry was initially that they would be *too* red, but looking at them, the armour breaks up the single colour quite nicely. Plus the gold highlights add a splash of contrasting colour.
Now I just need the Mountain, his Men and Jamie Lannister and the Red Force is done!
Making progress on the Knights
Work in progressI know the faces still look odd, because I’ve not done the helmets yet and I managed to spill Cadian Fleshtone all over them.
The saddle cloths are done as well as the blankets for the horses, lance tips and shafts as well as horse bodies.
Next up will be the shields and cloaks which also have to be red and then add the first metal base colours for the armour.
Lannister Halberdiers
Painted and basedThis brings the total to two Lannister Guardsmen units (which I finished before starting this project blog), as well as Tyrion and Cersei.
Next up: A unit of Knights of Casterly Rock (Or The Mountain, but probably the Knights…)
