I’m getting absolutely spammed with emails about the same topic getting created multiple times.

Any chance of getting the forums fixed so the same topic doesn’t get created three to five times in a row?

I agree – this is really annoying. It pushes people with actual content off the front page.

The repeat posts are actually our fault. We think they are getting a time out error message and then hitting refresh (so it posts again)

We’re unlikely to be able to solve the time out issue as it’s been hard for us to find away to reproduce it. So we’re gonna look into some code to see if we can stop repeat posts or stop repeat notifications going out.

I always get a 502 error when I post a new topic on the forums but it always posts without having to hit submit a second time

Gotcha. I admit that’s happened to me in the projects page from time to time. Actually, it happened to me in the forums as well. I just went back into the post, changed to “duplicate post, please delete.” 😀

Can’t you add a timer to prevent multiple posts? Something like one post every 60 seconds should cut down on the multi-posts.
