Studio Giraldez Shows Off Fully Painted Cook’s Guild For Guild Ball
January 17, 2019 by brennon
Studio Giraldez showed off a wonderful look at the new Cook's Guild for Steamforged Games' Guild Ball. Just take a look at the work on this team of miscreants.
The team is looking fantastic with Giraldez's trademark skills picking out all of the character from these figures. As some folks picked out on social media, the character on the far left has an absolutely insanely detailed tattoo! You have to look quite close, but it is there!
I particularly liked the work on some of the other elements of the kit that you get from Steamforged including the preparation table and the massive cooking pot. The additional detailing to the wood and the battered old pot make for good viewing indeed.
Are you going to be trying to match Giraldez's skills when painting your Cook's Guild team?

Those are painted brilliantly.
They would be great for a mustering camp or Rourke’s Drift type table
As always a masterful job of painting from AG.
I’m tempted to order this team but will wait until my ‘Navagators Guild’ team arrives which I ordered in July and has yet to show up at my door.
I do like that team… but then I like the humour of Guild Ball… however…
I have Blood Bowl which I’ve painted, but not played…
And the best was to play both of those games would be a league… and I only have three gamer friends that I see regularly and a league of 4 teams is a short season… and so is a knockout cup…
You could always just field multiple teams each xD
At £35 a team?
When I’d end up buying all the teams because they don’t like spending money…
And I’m trying not to buy any games in 2019…
I don’t think so…
I like Blood Bowl but Guild Ball is a far better game 🙂
I love these. Both paintjobs and minis. I look at every guild ball release and think I need to find some fellow players round here.
Saw Angel painting across from Corvus Belli a couple of years ago at GenCon. Dude is AMAZING to watch. Some of the things you’d swear were airbrushed aren’t. He’s got incredible talent.
The paint job is as ever fantastic, but it still cannot hide the dull, cliche, lazy sculpts – I normally really champion steamforged but this is a terrible set of minis, made worse by being the minor to my favoured major guild.
@pagan8th Guildball and bloodbowl are really different games, aside for a fantasy setting and a ball (which isn’t the same shape) there is no real similarity. I enjoy bloodbowl but it does show its age a little, Guildball still remains on of my favourite game systems ever.
