The Lord Of The Grey Wood Is Latest Elf King Preview

The Red Book Of The Elf King's roster of characters continues to grow as Lucid Eye showed off The Lord Of The Grey Wood, Maglint Rootgnawer this week.

This twisted, wild looking Elf just goes to show that Lucid Eye CAN top what was my favourite model previous to this, Saylian Trollblood. I loved his malicious grin, but this fellow here is just awesome. I love the fawn/satyr style they've gone for, mixed in with a bit of treeman/dryad too.

I reckon this fellow is going to be a joy to paint with lots of deep greens and browns to give him that ultra-natural feel. I've loved working with washes as the base for the skin on a lot of the Elf King releases and Rootgnawer would look great in that style I reckon.

What do you reckon to Rootgnawer? I would love the idea of a force based on him that all had a similar warped look to their Elven forms.
