I believe to make the game more interesting and the environment believable, scatter terrain and the little incidental parts make this. So I had added some more scatter terrain in the shape of boxes, crates, sacks and alike, from Oathsworn Miniatures, sadly they don’t do them anymore and a Roman Travelling Carriage, from Sarissa Precsision and their Streets of Rome range.

For the Scatter Terrain I have used a quite natural and neutral palette for the bags and sacks so that the terrain can fit into other games that I play like Blood and Plunder and 1938 A Very British Civil War.

The Roman Travelling Carriage I decided to build it in the rest set as I really wanted it to sit in or outside the villa, I might get another one in the future to be pulled. An interesting fact about Rome and Roman streets and traffic that I only found out recently was the fact that no carriages, coaches, carts, wagons, etc were aloud to travel during the hours of daylight. I bet that was bliss.

I have finished the bases for the scatter terrain in a sandy/light soil colour so it is able to blend in on version different tabletops. I added some static grass in patches to it to help the blend too. For the most part I think I have achieved this.

The Roman Travelling Carriage is painted bright red as they carriages were like the cars of there days and the high class Roman wants to be seen. I cannot decide if I am going to weather it or not, I think not as I believe as the carriage is at rest the Dominus/Domina would like their carriage to be spotless and clean all the time.
