Closing loose ends of 2018
Undead Rhino from the Bears Head Miniatures - Wilderness Encounters kickstarter
I started by googling pictures of Rhinos so I could try and get the skin realistic. Based off the picture below I decided stipling greys would produce the best results.
The skin was painted mechanicus standard grey and then washed with nuln oil. I then stipled on dawnstone followed by a lighter stapling of administratum grey.
The bone was painted rakarth flesh, washed agrax earthshade then progressively highlighted with ushabti bone then screaming skull.
The exposed muscle was painted mephiston red. Before the red dried I applied stripes of genesteler purple along the strands of muscle and allowed the two colours to mix slightly on the model. This gave the muscle a bit more texture. I then applied blood for the bloodgod over all the muscle.
The eyes were simply painted white scar to give them a dead look.
The base will be painted later once all the undead models in this project are ready for basing.
