Steamforged Release Limited Edition Mournblade Miniature
December 16, 2018 by dignity
A defeated Champion during a past age, Mournblade should have been destroyed as the Godtear was wrenched from his fallen body. Yet even as his flesh was consumed his bitter soul was unwilling to admit defeat, and in the darkness his disembodied spirit remained, feeding from the carrion energies of the dead. Mournblade fled deep beneath the earth, biding his time until the death of the Ascended and the renewed rain of the Godtear. At the dawn of this new age he has emerged once more, reborn as the Ashen One, hungry to begin again his relentless pursuit of power…
Steamforged Games have released a limited edition Mournblade for use with the Godtear, and he looks fierce.
The model is an alternate translucent sculpt of Mournblade from the upcoming Godtear game. I love the attention to detail on this sculpt, even down to the colour choice - he looks amazing and ethereal. I'm sure this will raise interest a quite a few gamers who are excited to see the Godtear game released soon. You can help the Ashen One rise again here.
Are you excited for Godtear?

I saw a video today. He’s almost made of rubber he is so bendy. If you paint him it’ll all flake straight off. I hope it was just a bad batch of plastic. I my KS pledge arrives like that I’ll likely be asking for my money back.
a great ghost warrior then no painting required if the figure is that blue colour.
He may be ghostly but his weapons and armour are not. Steamforged show him painted.
Due to the wonderful way Facebook organises itself I can no longer find the video to share it here. The guy pretty much folded his model in half and watched it pop back in to shape.
ooh.
If he is really bendy mate try the hot water to cold water tempering trick .. it has hardened up many of my bendy models …..save the WotC D&D prepaints of the 2000s …nothing could save them.
Thankfully I don’t own one. I went in on the KS so I’m happy enough with the version I’ll get in that box, assuming it is a standard quality material. I’ve heard about this method before, but never had cause to test it out.
I might have to use it on Mournblade myself as I pre-ordered this mini in the Black Friday sales. The method itself is quite effective particularly for PVC or other softer plastics I’ve used it several times.
You’ll have to let us know if yours is as bendy. Could be the video I saw was of a freak miscast.
Okay mate it’s a deal … I’ll let you know 🙂
Well that does look good.
