Take A Peek At The Legend Of The Five Rings MiniCrate Line-Up
November 30, 2018 by brennon
MiniCrate is looking towards the release of their first Legend Of The Five Rings miniatures next year and you have until December 5th to get your subscription in so you can get a hold of the first model and a special Naga Hunter too.
Whilst they look nice as it stands I think the real use of these miniatures will be for those wanting to get stuck into some role-playing for the new Fantasy Flight Games RPG. It looks like they're going to work on a character for each of the clans with a good mix of both male and female miniatures too.
Now, as this is MiniCrate the miniatures will be available only for the month of the subscription and then never again...so it's not great for someone wanting to buy later down the line, but maybe if they're popular we'll see this range expand more in the future.
Which clan is your favourite?

All of those look great.
I have to say these are tempting both as great models and for the L5R RPG, but the immediacy of it means I’m unlikely to go for it. I’m not convinced they’re models I’m likely to use in a game – they are starting the range with the biggest shut-in of Rokugan, after all; Yokuni doesn’t get out much these days. If this subscription was the only practical way to get them released then I’m glad they did, but I hope they’re not using this as a serious indicator of how much people want roleplaying models for L5R, because I… Read more »
@shinygames Aww… come on. Yokuni is a great figure to start it out with (though I agree he might well be a hikikomori). I think that it’ll be a hell of a lot lighter than the oversized deadly metal figure that AEG put out with the Heroes of the Dragon box set. Like the Minicrate for WarmaHordes this is specialized for the collector. Honestly I’m looking forward to some awesome Togashi action with the hope that it doesn’t involve breathing flame. If they are bringing new life to the old work of Clan War then there might be a sultry… Read more »
