Fun in the Weird Wild West!
Vaquero Heavy Buggy continued
Went for a Dark Tone army painter dip, brushed on. Lets give it 12 hrs and see what happens!
- So after a matt coat i’d say we are pretty much done. Just need to get the base sorted. Overall im pleased with how this one turned out!
Next up the base, first a generous helping of Stirland Mud
once the Stirland mud had dried, the base was hit with a skelton bone dry-brush followed by a layer of dark tone wash.
Next it was a layer of soft tone dip, a layer of mat coat and finally a layer of gloss varnish to give it a wet look and some tufts.
So thats it, the beast is finished! Overall im pleased with how it turned out, i have to admit about halfway through i was dubious that it was going to work but the metals have muted down nicely which makes a huge difference. Now, what next….
