Hundred Kingdoms Outcast
Priming
It’s only about 35 degrees Fahrenheit here in Wisconsin. Too cold to prime without first warming up the primer. If you would just spray the primer cold it would start drying in the air before sticking to the miniature. This would leave a very sandy texture on the model. By warming the primer we prevent that from happening. I fill a bucket with hot water from the tap and then submerge the spray can for 20 minutes. To prevent the spray can from floating, I place a coffee mug over the top of the can. The mug has enough weight to keep it submerged.
Before priming I attach the miniatures to craft sticks with poster tack. This gives me a handle to hold on to and keeps my hand out of the line of fire.
