CMON’s Song Of Ice & Fire Halberdiers & Outriders Clash
November 21, 2018 by brennon
CMON Games has revealed the new releases coming soon for both the Lannisters and Starks in their A Song Of Ice & Fire: Tabletop Miniatures Game. We're looking at both Halberdiers and Outriders this time around.
The Halberdiers will be forging the core of your battleline and also acting as the foil to the Outriders. No horseman wants to run into a wall of spikes! The Outriders will have to steer clear of these soldiers on foot and instead harass the flanks of the Lannister army, trying to outmanoeuvre them and get into a position to strike from the rear, splitting the army apart and causing havoc.
Are you a Lannister or a Stark player?

nice well detailed figures.
I got some of these with my starter set. Models are nice and big. Beautiful and solid! They belong in any collection
Having played a few times I have to say the game mamechanics are rather bland. It’s not far from an alternate activation form of KoW only with a side card game.
I dare say there would be little interest in this as a game if it weren’t for the Game if Thrones license attached to it.
Overall, a functional game if a little unoriginal in its mechanics. And another KS that won’t gain traction from having shelf space in FLGS.
I won’t be buying into this one.
Yup, I played a perfectly good GoT game using Perry Miniatures and Dragon Rampant ruleset. This seems a bit pointless.
Popular games are never that original … or ‘good’ (from a game mechanic point of view)
It’s the marketing that sells games.
Add to this a steady release schedule and you’ve got something that has the potential to be big.
The real question is whether or not fans of GoT are less into the combat and more into the intrigue side of the series.
check out Conquest. Looking to be a steady rlease schedule, immense game mechanics and lore/world that is mind blowing.
Looing forward to it next year
Those look really good.
