About the Project
2nd Dynasty is working on three fully 3D printable ships for our next Kickstarter, a scout ship, shuttle and transport for tabletop play. The ships have 3D printable interiors and exteriors, and snap together using OpenLOCK clips. Interiors are fully modular and customisable.

Test Photos of the Printed Scout Ship
Just some test photos for the fully painted exterior of the scout ship. We will probably put in a few lights, and possibly a proper screen.
Studio Photoshoot, finishing touches!
Yesterday we spent around an hour in the studio taking pics of the finished models. The lighting is a combination of spots (scene lighting, sun), 3v LED battery-driven lights (rears of ships, hangar, etc.) and grimlights (cockpit lighting). The gas was made by what Micke describes as barndiscospray, or roughly translated – kid’s disco spray, a sort of gas in a can that sits for a few minutes in the air, creating the illusion of atmosphere.
Closeups of the Shuttle and Transport
So, we did another photo shoot here in Trollhättan to get some nice pics of the shuttle and transport. I think they turned out pretty good, although the atmospherics were not turning up so great on the transport. Set limitations. Today, hopefully we will get the proper smoke machine working and see what we can do with it.
Internal Scout Ship Painted
Jonathan and Theodor finished painting the internals of the scout ship, pleased with the results.
Black base, grey layer, shade and dry brushing for most parts, plus colour highlights.
The floor is fully removable, and uses OpenLOCK, so the configuration can be changed.
