Will we get cake?
No. No cake for you.
Why not!? You are cruel!
Cake??! Did I miss cake? ?
yes
Hey guys, a couple of weeks ago you kinda asked me to show my DeepWars and ShadowSea minis all seperated from eachother (instead of one big mess 🙂 ) so I started a project “Into the Abyss with DeepWars and ShadowSea” which turns out to be a big motivator for myself. Here’s the link: https://www.beastsofwar.com/project/1286754/
Would be nice to see you going through some of it… Thanks a lot!!
Tea, and anzac bikkies ??
This is one I finished up last week but missed posting up to the last hangout

If only there was some sort of catch up video you could watch
Thanks guys, really great to hear you’re liking my Minotaur project. Making a small diorama is proving to be a fun change from army painting. @brennon I tend to get faces to a reasonable level early on, when painting minis, because if it doesn’t go right it’s not really worth continuing with the rest of the mini. I’d rather strip it and start again. You’re not alone in the worry of messing something up later on though, so I don’t tend to finish an area fully until at least everything is based coats and shaded. 🙂 Also, you’re dead right… Read more »
Hy. Please check out my StuG Brigade 189 project I am working on.
Almost spat my tea out with panic when I saw my miniatures on the thumbnail!
Thanks for the tips and having a look through my project – made my day! 🙂
Looking forward to seeing what else you produce!
Thanks a lot for commenting on my DeepWars and ShadowSea minis 🙂 The gloss on the mantis shrimp is the natural gloss after all the glazing with inks (Schmincke Aero Color), so indeed not painted on but either gloss varnish. Usualy I dull coat the minis but it looked way to nice to do it with the shrimp. The white parts in the orthocone-sculpt are indeed plasticard crystals. Obviously the timing of the kickstarter played it’s part in posting in the what are you painting now-thread, I just wasn’t familiar with the hobby hangout yet until I saw the glowing… Read more »
This was at the time when I had just finished eating the biscuits to get at the trays in order to use them as basing material. I did not actually eat them all in one weekend, as I claim in the project, though. There are still a couple left in the tin I put them all in. And @johnlyons is absolutely right. The Howling Griffon colour scheme can be maddening. I am busy with the yellow highlights as I am watching this. I managed one of them so far. So that means highlights on half a Terminator. Also sawing up… Read more »
There is a “Totenkopf” in the Wolfenstein video games too 😉
There would have had to be actually. Though I only remember Otto von Giftmischer and of course Dr. Betrüger from DOOM 3 as id Game characters with notable germanified names.
brilliant work on all the figures folks.
