Catching Up On New Miner’s Guild Characters For Guild Ball!
October 30, 2018 by brennon
Steamforged Games dropped some updates a while back for what's happening with the future of Guild Ball and one of these focused on the coming of a separate aspect of the Miner's Guild including new characters.
Here's some of the rundown on the Miner's from the team at Steamforged Games...
"The Miner’s Guild are a group of hardy, dirty, working men & women who do have an incredibly dangerous day job, in addition to playing Guild Ball!
Years spent working underground in hazardous conditions has led to all of them having one or more mechanical prosthetic limbs, which serves as the main visual feature for this Guild. Firstly, we revealed the Guild’s Captain, Shaft."
The miniatures have come on leaps and bounds from what we were used to seeing back in the day and with this particular slice of Guild Ball Fantasy we're also seeing more of the Steampunk edge to the game too.
You can especially see this in some of their hulking players...
...and especially when you get a look at the massive Colossus.
These new characters are looking fantastic and seem like they are going to take paint very well indeed. It's nice to see them being inventive with the Guilds and doing something which is entirely unique.
Have you been won over by the look of the Miner's Guild?

Sad to say this guild just doesn’t float my boat. Well not yet anyway. I look forward to seeing more about them.
Those are some great looking miniatures.
This one has my interest, seeing as I work 650′ underground in an old salt mine five days a week!
Still a bit on the cartoony side but I do like these, I will be getting for my engineers, although matching bases will be an issue.
Lol… My first thought was the dulcet tones of late 60s rock with the smooth deep voice of Isaac Hayes when I saw the name Shaft.

In all seriousness it reminds me of the ReMade characters from the books by China Mieville
Great looking figures.
